I'm paying taxes using the "manage tax" function, but when I look at my balance sheet it is still showing as owing. I have the ato clicked as the tax agent and in the supplier centre it shows in their account, but its still not changing the balance sheet.

What am I overlooking?

Have you checked the account to see if it has been entered into the correct balance sheet account.

Another way of doing this is rather than using the manage tax function is actually to just enter the transaction as a cheque and allocate the payment manually.
