Hello

Is there a way to use a quickbooks file (that has been saved to the network)in single user mode? Im a sys admin at a Uni and we need the students saving/working on their quickbooks files on the network. It is not a multiuser file as there is only ever one person accessing the file  at one time? But when ever the file is created on the "file server" QB's always says that because they are opening the file from the network it must therefore be a multiuser file(which it is not).

How can I get around this apparent oversite?
