Layout Designer problems
« on: April 27, 2011, 12:29:36 PM »

Hello All,

As a new QB user (QuickBooks 2010/2011 on Windows XP), I've spent a lot of time setting out the Custom Template to suit our existing letterhead for invoicing. After one successful print, I tried to go back to the Layout Designer to tweak a few things. Now I get a message saying that some items are too big for the print margins and will be moved to the top left hand corner.

When I proceed from this message, the columns I have nominated to print (Description & Amount) are hugely scaled up and overlapping. The data field margins can't be adjusted or separated and while the whole table can be scaled, the indiviual columns can't be scaled in relation to each other.

Anyone had any similar problems? Does anyone know what determines the size of the table to start with? Turning the print options off and on does not seem to help. The other individual fields (date, invoice no. etc) are unaffected.

Thanking you in advance
-Amy
