Importing Bank Statements
Importing Bank Statements
« on: July 29, 2010, 04:57:36 PM »

Hi everyone,

I have taken the plunge and replaced MYOB with Quickbooks.  Now I have a problem with the bank statement.  In MYOB I was able to import transactions in .csv format, but I cannot figure out how to do it in Quickbooks.

So I went through the rigmarole of setting up the bank account in the bank blah blah.  And downloaded bank transactions in .QIF format, only to have QB give me an error message :Errors were encountered whilst attempting to convert .........  Please ensure that this is a valid QIF file."

Does anyone have any ideas?  I have done it a few times, downloaded a fresh file a week later, but can't seem to get past this error.
