Hi a quick question I need to change the payroll item supa in quickbook plus as prior to that 2010/2011 year it has been going to the payroll liabilities and therfore been identified as PAYG instead of super

my accountant told me I need to change the account as at the moment it is getting coded as a payroll expenses when it should be payble supa contribution

I would be very happy and glad if someone could help me on how to setup the thing so it is right I saw that you need to setup a sub account of payroll libailities

but I am getting confused with what my accoutant told me and what I can find on the net many thanks!!!

If you go to Lists>Payroll Item Lists, this should show you all the different payroll items.  Assuming its the same as other Quickbook payroll, there should be items there called Super with a type Super, and I belive these are generally automatically set up. 

If not you should be able to create a new item, follow the prompts and set up the correct accounts, one being the liability account for superannauation and the other an expense account, usually either salary and wages or a seperate superannuation account, depending on how your chart of accounts is set up.
