Hi, I recently upgraded to Quickbooks Plus 2008/09. Before that I always used to have Quickbooks Lite 2004.

Whenever I create a new BAS, the tax items for each section (G1, G2, G3, etc) used to be saved in my system. However, now whenever I start a new BAS I always have to click through each button and re-select the appropriate tax items, which is terribly annoying.

Is there any way in Quickbooks 2008/09 to make sure my selection of tax items on the BAS is saved for the future? It's not as if I wanted to change that on a regular basis.

This issue has been addressed in the new release (09/10) due out in May 2009.

I got really annoyed at the same thing, too. QuickBooks is supposed to be for people who are not necessarily accountants. It can really hard to remeber which tax codes to include, etc.
The advice i was given was not to use the BAS reports, because they are often inaccurate anyway.
Use Tax Summary and Payroll Summary reports instead and do the BAS manually.
