Like most businesses I have several customers that do not pay on time.

What i want to happen is that when an employee does an invoice for a customer if they have an overdue balance it tells us.

I would also like to be able to put comments/flags for particular customers that appear every time you go to do an invoice or PO etc. For example, "do not send invoice with goods" or "payment prior to delivery only"

I don't think QuickBooks is that smart...wish it was.  You might just have to train you employees to check the customer section of QuickBooks when they are entering in a invoice for each customer. 

Regarding the comments, I don't think you can have something appear when you create the invoice, but you can put something in the Customer Message for an invoice that you raise, you can even create standard comemnts to make, by just adding to the drop down list.
