How do I do a bank transfer in Quickbooks?

For some reason it records a Cheque automatically in the Bank Account Ledgeer (CHK).

Is there a code like BTRSF?

In the Home Page in the Banking box there is only: Record Deposits, Reconcile, Check Register, Write Chcks, Print Checks.

Nothing for "Make Transfer".

Any ideas?

Under the Banking drop down there should be one called 'Transfer Funds'.

If that doesn't work, I find doing a general journal just as easy.

Banking > Transfer Funds as Carrie suggests is best because this shows as a transfer in the QB reconciliation and on reports.

I use this so much it is now an icon - so worth thinking about adding to the icon bar as well if you perform a lot of transfers.

This can also be used to transfer between other balance sheets accounts such as asset and equity accounts.
