Can anyone tell me how to use employee numbers in QB Pro 2012 - When entering a new employee QB does not prompt me for th next employee number and when I get a list of emplyees, the employee number is not listed.  Can I disply employee numbers from the employee center page?  The only time i see a list of employee numbers is when I do group certificates.  I would like to be able to sort my employees by number to give an idea of seniority.  Any advice please.

Have a look under Preferences -> Payroll & Employees.

If the option is not there, just edit each employee, click on "additional info" tab and set up a custom field for the number.

If you have a look at an employee, under the Employment Info tab, there is an Emp. No field already avaliable to use.
