Creating Liability Payments outside of the Payroll run
Creating Liability Payments outside of the Payroll run
« on: August 11, 2011, 11:18:44 AM »

Normally our super payments seem  automatically ( i did not setup the company file) to be generated with every payroll run. I go into create custom liability payments once a month and sure enough all my super chqs, PAYG, Child Support et all are there waiting to be created into cheques.

I now have the issue where I need to pay some super cheques outside of the normal pay run, how can i ‘invent’ some one off cheques to appear in the create custom liability payments screen? So I can then print them off?

Alternatively I could process them via the supplier section but Iam not sure then if they would be recorded under that particular employee in reports showing super payments per employee.

I thought there was an option for "other" so that you could manually create a liability payment outside of the normal payroll cycle.  I could be thinking of something else, but I was almost certain that is allowed for this so that it would get assigned to the right employee.  Finding payroll solutions like this can be tricky! I'll continue thinking to see if I can remember the exact steps!

Couldn't you just create a payroll item, with just superannuation included in it?  Then it would be on the right employee and also in your liabilities section to make the payment.

Or have a completely misunderstood your question?

Cheers
