My bookkeeper made a new invoice and picked a single digit number. Now it won't go back to 5 digit number as previous.

I thought that if you just key in the next number that you want to use, in the invoice number field, then it will use that and then carry on from that number.

That's right Jean - but you must also do this when you Create (a) New Invoice. Just altering the number of an invoice previously saved will not have the desired effect.

Yes, I know that. I have never tried to do it any other way.

Jean, my response was to desktop9. Many people create the invoice - save - realise the invoice number is wrong, then enter the correct one and re-save. Although this corrects the saved invoice, the number will not continue from this point.

If desktop9 follows our instructions this should correct the problem.
