Hi,

I need to change the purchase tax codes for basically all of my items in inventory. I was hoping there is an easy way rather than individually editing each item.

I have tried to export to Excel, but cannot manage to get purchase tax code to show, only Tax code.

on the toolbar at the top go to lists > tax item list or tax code list this is where you can ad change delete or modify them hope this helps

You need to export the Item List to an Excel spreadsheet, chnge the code (paste and copy), then re-import the list without making any other changes.

This won't effect your already existing transactions though, and the tax code you change it to MUST be in the code list already.

Furthermore, I would say that this is an ADVANCED action, so if you are not confident with spreadsheets and QBooks exports, please contact a QuickBooks Accredited Partner.
