2010/2011 PAYG Tax incorrect on Payslips
« on: August 10, 2010, 07:23:42 AM »

Hi,

In both versions 2009/10 and 2010/2011 Quickbooks Pro, the PAYG tax on the payslips is incorrect (I have checked this with the ATO tax rates from the website). Each time I need to manually adjust the Payg tax for each employee.

The current tax version downloaded is 1011192 (correct for the 2010/2011 year)

I understand that I have the correct tax code 2-TFT (employee claiming tax free threshold and holiday loading.)

I recently installed windows 7 and then installed this program onto the computer so I dont believe there is any previous versions of Quickbooks running.

Would anyone have any ideas? Thanks

It could be a corrupt payslip template, try using a different template and see what the outcome is.

The fact that across different versions and different tax tables, your issue remains, it is data file or template related.

This is not a known issue or the software would be un-useable.

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem. Brand new version - 2010/11 Premier, just installed, updated tax tables - 1011192. Same tax code too - 2 TFT.

Shows incorrect tax amount when compared against official ATO site. I'm also running Windows 7.

Thoughts? Help, please!

Thank you!

Are you quite sure that the tax tables actually did get applied.  check this by going to EMPLOYEEs (at the top of the screen).
Then TAX TABLE INFORMATION.  The date should be showing as 01/07/2010.
