Version?
« on: August 01, 2010, 08:56:24 PM »

Hi, I must confess at the outset that most of my customers use MYOB so am not as familiar with Quickbooks.  I have a company file here that says last opened with Quickbooks 2008/2009.  I currently have a copy of Quickbooks Pro 2009/2010.  Somewhere I have a copy of 2008/2009 but after looking at the clients company file they appear to be missing some functions that I am used to seeing.

My question is would this be the Quickbooks Home & Business Edition, or the Contractor edition, or is there actually a stand-alone Quickbooks 2008/2009 edition?  How can I tell, or find out?  I can of course upgrade to Pro 2010, however that would render the file useless to the client.

Any help appreciated!

I think from memory you should be able to use an Accountants version which can open up any of them.  Only a guess though its been a while since I've needed to check.
